There aren't many that seem to be willing. Doesn't make much sense to me.I wish they would encourage more of their dealers to work with folks who want to test. I am loath to send a rifle to a testing facility for something as simple as testing. I am hoping to find a good lot that I can buy a quantity of to get me through the year is all. I don't know if my perception is wrong but there doesn't seem to be much depth in terms of lot size. The problem I see is a dozen lots of ammo for the USA doesn't seem adequate to me.

Apparently whatever they use for lube is the key to it. Cleaning is reduced dramatically and is much easier. Just heard that your pet dealer is not sending out any test lots anymore and customers will have to guess ,gamble and buy blind on any lots they want to purchase ! When BR shooters have to guess many of them do not fair well ! That is a fact and not good ! When Adam Braverman announce the Sedalia distribution center gets up and running that Lapua would take care of the shooters requesting test lots ! If this has not been addressed, and the test station is the only means to address this situation ,somebody isn`t sirius ! If Adam wants us to buy untested ammo with no test lots available from pet dealers or the distribution center in Sedalia ,Mo and a few Team Lapua members do get any thing they want ,the Lapua train has a sirius blip in the system ! JMO The test center currently has about a dozen lots of Midas+. You can still run the purchase through your pet dealer ( I use Clint Swigert, Shooting for Perfection 5 ). They do things a little different now, the test center has enough lots for testing, and the ammo order is fulfilled from their warehouse in Sedalia, MO. All anyone can do to help their case is just go about the process wisely, patiently, and in a timely manner and just accept that your results are only as good as your method to get there.Lapua has had a re-organization, you can reach the test facility director, Daniel Cliff, at and by phone 4. Regardless if you do it long enough(lot test) you will make all the mistakes I've talked about and maybe even a few I've left out unfortunately but it's just part of it. No one wants to buy a case of ammo that come to find out stinks on ice just because you didnt do your job testing but no one wants to wait a month to test and find out it's all gone either. Whichever way it works out, it is way more important to me that I actually test the lots and not my patience. Sometimes it works out to be the day I receive the test lots(summer months due to light after work) and sometimes it works out to be a few days later. Usually when we have test lots coming in, I will be looking at the weather outlook for the next few days to try and judge the best day conditions wise to complete the test verses when I will have multiple hours of time I can dedicate solely to the test.

Rushing to the range after work with you test lots and only an hour before dark most likely will not yield you the results you want in the end but a person may be a lot luckier than I am.

I can't say I blame the ones that dont want to mess with it though.Īlso like mentioned in post above, testing quickly is of great importance but in no way more important than completing a quality test. As noted above there are alot of places that deal directly in ammo lots but way more that wont even entertain the idea.
